Chanita is all about all-natural but effective household and beauty items that smell amazing for the skin, body, and soul.
Meet Chanita, who was born in Eugene, Oregon, and grew up around her family’s aromatherapy business. When she became a mother, she quickly learnt that all-natural, organic household items were hard to come by, so she started experimenting with making her own. “Looking back,” she shared, “I feel blessed that I had the confidence to start my own business organically, feeling that I really had a talent, but also a real need for clean, all-natural yet very effective products that smelled amazing and felt amazing for the skin, body, and soul.”
Chanita and her family now live in Moshav Mevo Modiim, in central Israel, where Chanita forages and harvests many of her ingredients. She believes you can find inspiration in everything — nature, people, and hardship, too. “Hardship sometimes inspires me to rise up, make something beautiful and healing. To make someone smile is worth the world. I feel very blessed to do what I do.”
Since October 7, spending time in nature has helped Chanita to find peace. “[I’m] feeling more grateful. More alive. More in search of a deep meaning and understanding of it all.”
Chanita has loved Hanukkah since childhood, when she’d gather with her family, each member lighting their own menorah, taking turns to recite the blessing with a special melody from her mother's childhood. “I remember feeling so happy, such a warm, loving energy. I see now how my own Hanukkah upbringing has really influenced the way my husband and I celebrate it with my beautiful children.” We hope that Chanita’s products bring happy, warm, loving energy into your home, too.
